Summer of Music 2013

Introduction

As you know over the past year we have been rolling out different themes for each GO Kickball Season. The idea behind this is to continue to freshen and energize the GO Kickball brand. Each theme is strategically thought out, designed, and created to fit the time of year and to connect with the player on a more personal level.

Why “Summer of Music”? – We chose “Summer of Music” because, there is no better time than the summer to live free, have fun, and celebrate with a great tune, all while playing GO Kickball. We think that every night at the field should be a party, and everyone knows you can’t have a great party without great music.

Ways to Introduce “Summer of Music” throughout the Summer – In order to convey the theme to your market, it must be natural and creative. Natural ways to fit the theme into the season are through outlets that we already use such as registration, kickoff events at the league bar, theme week and of course the “end of season party”. We have come up with a few creative ways to inspire you but, don’t stop here, use your imagination to make this a great summer.

Ways to Introduce Throughout Season

Email Banner – GKB will provide on all registration emails
T-Shirt Design – GKB will provide for every registered player
Social Media – Market Directors have the freedom to create contests and campaigns such as “Most Rockin’ team or picture or music video (examples - Best Lip Sync Video, group dance videos, best musically themed profile pic)
Music at the fields – bring a boom-box with your favorite tunes. Get teams involved and have a different team each week provide a playlist. Give out a prize at the end of the season for best mix and announce it on Facebook.
Prizes and giveaways – Karaoke machine, music downloads, iTunes gift card’s.

Seasonal Contest

Music Video Contest – This Summer we are bringing back the popular “You Tube Video Contest” but with a musical twist. This time around players will create a “Music Video” that supports their love of GO Kickabll.
Reasoning – As much fun as it was the first time around to receive and watch the submitted videos it was all for a purpose.

Theme Week

Musical Groups Dress Up - Teams will dress up as their favorite music group (Examples- Kiss, Rap Groups, Country Stars, Hair Bands, Glee, etc.)
Incentives for dressing up – Best dressed teams can win music downloads, a karaoke machine, concert tickets or discounts. Announce winners on Facebook and social media

End of Season Party

Live Band – Reach into your personal network or find a local legend to come preform at your End of Season Party.
Karaoke Party – Find a bar with karaoke access and party it up with amateur rockstars.
Talent Show – Have a season long sign-up of all registrants to participate in an America Idol type show.
